Doctor Boothe and Boothe Eye Care Give to Tom Landry Classic Scholarship
On August, 2009, four of the top ten high school football teams in the United States played against each other to win the title of the tenth annual Tom Landry Classic. The competition was held at Southern Methodist University’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium, with the first game between the Southlake Carroll Dragons and the Plano West Wolves. Following the Dragons versus the Wolves, the Red Oak Hawks played the Highland Park Scots. The Southlake Carroll Dragons won the competition, with standout performances by defensive end Jackson Richards, cornerback Kacy Rodgers and linebacker Cade Foster.
Members of the winning football team’s event participants, including football players, band members, drill team members, cheerleaders, mascots, student trainers and student members, are eligible to receive a scholarship sponsored by Boothe Eye Care and Laser Center and several other corporate sponsors.
