Today there are more than 20 methods of correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The majority of ophthalmologists around the world consider the excimer laser correction as the most effective and safe eye treatment. At Boothe Eye Laser Center we use equipment of high security and the most advanced excimer laser systems. Laser eye surgery is an easy and affordable procedure to almost everyone.

Of course, you should not forget that like any technique, laser surgery has some limitations. Therefore, at Boothe Eye Care Center, before performing the procedure each patient undergoes a complete diagnostic examination of the visual system, which allows us to not only identify violations of refraction and an accurate diagnosis, but also to ensure there are no contraindications.

Advantages of excimer laser vision correction

Reliability and safety
Laser eye surgery was performed in 1985 for the first time. Today we can speak with confidence about the efficiency and safety of this treatment method. At the Boothe Eye Care Center, laser surgery was first performed in 1987, and for more than 20 years, Dr. Boothe has accumulated vast experience in carrying out these procedures. More than 121,000 people have achieved excellent vision after IntraLasik surgery at Boothe Eye Care Center.

A wide range of applications
Lasik laser vision correction procedure eliminates myopia (up to -15,0 D), hyperopia (up to +6,0 D), astigmatism (up to ± 3,0 D). The majority of experts think that the optimal age for laser vision correction procedure is a period from 18 to 45 years old.

Fast procedure
Laser vision correction is performed for 10-15 minutes, and the laser effects no more than 10-15 seconds per eye.

Painless procedure
Local anesthesia is applied via eye drops before laser eye surgery and eliminates pain. Excellent results of laser vision correction are achieved with minimal risk of complications with the shortest recovery period.

An outpatient procedure

Lebron James Undergoes Lasik

January 16th, 2012

LeBron James

LeBron James is a professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is known as “King James” because of his high achievements the sport. James began his career at age 18, when he signed his first contract with Nike sportswear and started to play for the Cavaliers. In the first season he established himself as the first successful young basketball player in league history to score forty-one points in a game. In 2003-2004 he was named as NBA Rookie of the Year and many others titles including NBA’s Most Valuable Player (MVP).
James suffered a long time from poor vision. In September of 2007 he made the decision to undergo laser eye surgery. A few days after his delicate eye procedure, he was in good condition and was able to continue his strenuous off-season workouts.

Today, Lasik is the most popular vision correction procedure available. In addition, Lasik is a successful surgery that improves vision for the majority of patients. More than 98% of patients are satisfied with the outcome of their Lasik procedures. LeBron James is sure that “A short time of discomfort is well worth it in order to improve your eyesight, whatever level of basketball you may play!”

The success of your Lasik procedure depends on the performing surgeon’s professionalism and technologies that are used during laser surgery. The Boothe Eye Care Center provides its patients with excellent Lasik results due to their highly experienced surgical staff and modern technology. Dr. William Boothe is one of the most experienced Lasik surgeons in the U.S.. He has personally performed more VISX Custom 3-D Wavefront laser surgeries than other refractive surgeons in the world. The majority of the professional ophthalmologists recommend Dr. William Boothe to their patients because he performs laser eye surgeries at the best level.

The most important part in the surgery is creating the corneal flap and Dr. Boothe performs this step with absolutely accuracy using the femtosecond laser. The laser beam is guided by computer software that creates a corneal flap dependent on the needs of the patient. Because of this innovative technology Dr. William Boothe can pre-determine the progress of the surgery. When the laser successfully reshapes the cornea, Dr. Boothe returns the corneal flap back in place. The process takes about 30 seconds per eye – such a quickly procedure provides faster healing and as a result, a perfect outcome.

If you want to examine your eyes and determine whether or not you are a good candidate for laser eye surgery, contact us to set up a free consultation with Dr. William Boothe at (214) 328-0444.

Former Basketball Player Undergoes Lasik with Dr. William Boothe

January 9th, 2012

Sean Williams is the professional basketball and depends on good eyesight to win. “I was tired of using eyeglasses and contact lenses. I dislike wearing eyeglasses and I was always afraid of losing my contact lens during an important game.”

Sean has been suffering from nearsightedness since she was 14. When she started playing basketball, they were cumbersome because they kept falling off and breaking. She hated them and started to look for a more comfortable way to correct vision. After school as an alternative to spectacles, she started to use contact lenses. “It more comfortable, but I couldn’t wear them all day. If I use contact lenses more than four hours my eyes become irritated and red.”

Laser eye surgery has allowed many people leave their spectacles and contact lenses behind. Today, development in the laser surgical area produces various solutions for different vision problems that can be individually customized. Dr. William Boothe is an experienced doctor and he does his work perfectly as professional. The majority of his customers are provided with customized treatment and almost all of them have 20/20 or better vision as a result. Dr. Boothe always looks for an appropriate therapy for his patients even when they were denied at another center. The Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center is number one among professional physicians.

When Sean came to the Boothe Eye Care center she was pleasantly surprised with customer service.  “The environment was very comfortable and I felt inner quiet and peace. The assistant was available any time I needed, and was able to answer all of my questions. Some centers do not devote sufficient time for their customers but Dr. Boothe thinks that success consists of close cooperation with his patients. During my consultation with Dr. William Boothe I felt I had freedom to express my opinions. If I needed, I can contact Dr. Boothe or call his center and talk with the counselors. It was very important for me especially before the day of surgery.”

“I do not recommend looking for a center with a low-price treatment. It’s better to find the best surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Williams Boothe because he is the most experienced IntraLasik surgeon in the world and now I can see better than 20/20. The correction surgery was over in no time without any pain. The healing time was very fast and very soon I was able to return to training. Best of all, I am playing better than over and during the game I worry about winning!”

Boothe Eye Center Lasik Surgeries

January 3rd, 2012

Dr. William Boothe is one of the first ophthalmologists in Dallas to perform refractive surgery by an iFC Femtosecond laser including IntraLase Enable Keratoplasty (IEK) that provides a high level of surgical accuracy. He is acknowledged as VISX Surgeon of the Year because of his incomparable experience of performing VISX Wavefront laser surgery. Dr. Boothe has treated patients from all over the world as well as patients in the U.S.

Dr. William Boothe of Boothe Eye Center uses an advanced IntraLase femtosecond laser to create a full-thickness corneal transplant. This innovative technology provides the best outcomes in corneal transplantation. Dr. Boothe create precisely shaped incisions on the cornea that allows the transplant tissue to fit together like a puzzle or zigzag. The IntraLase FS Laser is a technological breakthrough in the corneal surgery.
Such optimized design of wound provides:
• Stable graft
• Less number of sutures
• Faster postoperative period and visual healing.

Traditionally corneal transplants were performed using a manual trephine called a “cookie cutter” which makes the incision with a circular blade. Then the corneal tissue lifts up and is replaced by a plug-shaped corneal graft. The trephine surgery with this method usually requires extensive suturing and is associated with several problems. First, the wound doesn’t heal quickly with a vertical cut. Second, the sutures are left in the eye during one year after surgery or longer. Third, after procedure the patient may develop significant astigmatism that lengthens the recovery period.

The IntraLase FS is computer-guided laser and makes the IEK procedure very effective. Dr. Boothe can perform an incision on both the donor and the recipient cornea in a precise patterned manner. Having an interlocking design on the graft is more stable and leads to faster recovery.

The benefits of IEK are:
• IEK requires fewer stitches to keep graft in place
• IEK allows earlier removal of stitches
• IEK provides full vision healing faster
• IEK reduces the risk for displacement of graft and much less astigmatism.

Corneal transplantation procedure with IEK allows Dr. Boothe to help his patients who suffered from corneal injury, degeneration, infection, or inherited corneal disease. The majority of patients with replaced corneal tissue have been satisfied with the outcome.

Boothe Eye Care Discusses Lasik & Glaucoma

December 19th, 2011

Glaucoma is a state in which optic nerve of the eye is damaged. This damage of the optic nerve can cause permanent blindness to the individual. But early detection along with proper treatment can protect the eyes from permanent blindness. The optic nerve consists of over 1 million nerve linking the retina and brain. For good vision, your optic nerve should be healthy. According to several scientific studies, damage of the optic nerve is caused by high eye pressure.

As the fluid passes through the eyes, pressure increases and may cause the optic nerve to become damaged. The increased pressure can result in permanent loss of vision. Controlling eye pressure is very important to avoid glaucoma. Blood pressure can also cause optic nerve damage.

It is not certain that people with high eye pressure will develop glaucoma as some individuals have a higher tolerance to eye pressure than others. The occurrence of glaucoma also depends on the tolerance of optic nerve on eye pressure. Patients must undergo a dilated eye checkup that helps the doctor understand if your eye pressure is unsual. Glaucoma can be developed by any individual. Those who are at high risk of developing glaucoma are:

a) Individuals with a family history of glaucoma
b) African Americans above the age of 40
c) Individuals above the age of 60, particularly Mexican Americans.

Dr. Boothe of Boothe Eye Care will recommend comprehensive dilated eye tests to detect glaucoma. The comprehensive dilated eye tests consists of the visual field test, visual acuity test, dilated eye exam, tonometry, and pachymetry. There are two main types – open angle glaucoma and angle closure glaucoma. In open angle glaucoma, the blindness is caused gradually so it will not be detected until it is too late. No blockage can be seen on the drainage canals in the initial stage of open angle glaucoma, but in a later stage you can find blockages. The drainage will be completely blocked in angle closure glaucoma and patients may develop symptoms such as headaches, blurred vision, eye pain, and nausea.

There are three types of treatments for glaucoma such as medical, surgical, and laser treatment. Medical treatment is performed by applying eye drops at the primary stage to reduce the intraocular pressure. Surgical procedure is done only on individuals who could not achieve the positive results even after eye drops and LASIK. LASIK is an important treatment for patients with glaucoma. Dr. Boothe is an experienced doctor who will help to cure your glaucoma using LASIK eye procedure. Read reviews from actual patients who have underdone Lasik with Dr. Boothe

Dr. Boothe Wavefront Mapping Reviews

December 14th, 2011

Have you spoken to your eye doctor about a Lasik vision correction procedure, but are still doubtful? Dr. Boothe offers a new kind of laser treatment that will allow your vision to improve even better than 20/20!

Wavefront Mapping technology is customized to your individual eyes. It provides a unique map of the patient’s vision that reflects all refractive error and aberrations of the eye. Because of this, surgeons are able to obtain diagnostic measurements and make customized treatments according to the patient’s visual “fingerprint”. As a result, the patient can enjoy a higher quality of vision.

Wavefront technology differs from traditional Lasik treatments in the way that vision is measured. It is very important for surgeons to take accurate measurements of each eye in order to obtain the optimal result after a Lasik procedure. This is why the Wavefront Mapping system is 25 times more accurate and effective since it allows a personalized treatment for each patient. It provides improved results and reduces side effects associated with traditional Lasik surgery.

Dr. Boothe Reviews | Treatments To Correct Farsightedness

December 13th, 2011

When an individual cannot focus on objects in his or her close range of vision, the condition is known as farsightedness or hyperopia. Individuals with farsightedness have a shorter cornea, which causes the light that enters the eyes to focus at a point beneath the retina. To correct farsightedness, the position in which the light is focused on the retina must be changed. After discussing your vision problems with Dr. Boothe, he will recommend the best treatment options to you. The options available to correct farsightedness are corrective lenses, refractive surgery, and eye exercises.

Most young people do not require any treatment for hyperopia because their eyes are flexible and will compensate for the nearsightedness; however, as we age, the natural lens becomes less flexible, and the patient will likely need to use corrective lenses to be able to see adequately. There are two types of corrective lenses: eye glasses and contact lenses. There are different types of eye glasses available, such as reading lenses, bifocals, and trifocals. Contact lenses are also available in different forms, including hard, soft, gas permeable, bifocals, disposable, and extended wear lenses.

Most people who suffer from farsightedness use eye glasses and contact lenses to correct their condition. Both of these options are less expensive and less risky in comparison to surgical procedures. It is important to schedule regular visits with Dr. Boothe so he can determine if your eyes have changed and if you require a new prescription. Lenses are the best option for children and teenagers, as the prescription of their eyes will change frequently, making surgery an unsuitable option. Implantable contact lenses are also an option for treating farsightedness. Implantable contact lenses (ICLs) are a viable option for patients who have a thin cornea, which may make refractive surgery impossible. Patients who suffer from dry eyes are also ideal candidates for ICLs. Implantable contact lenses can be removed and replaced if the patient’s prescription changes after several years.

Refractive surgery is also an excellent option for treating hyperopia. The refractive surgeries that are used to correct farsightedness are LASIK, LASEK, PRK, Conductive Keratoplasty, and Epi-LASIK. LASIK is the most successful and popular refractive surgery used to treat farsightedness. In this procedure, Dr. Boothe will create a corneal flap and then use an excimer laser to carefully reshape the corneal tissue behind it. Afterwards, the flap is repositioned in its original place. In LASEK, the epithelial cells of the cornea will be weakened with an alcohol solution in order to fold them back from the eye, in a similar manner as LASIK. The cornea is then reshaped with the help of a laser.

PRK, or photorefractive keratectomy, is a procedure in which a corneal flap is not created, but rather the epithelial cells of the cornea are removed completely using an alcohol solution. The recovery period for PRK is longer as the corneal flap is not present to cover the cornea during the healing process. In Conductive Keratoplasty, radiofrequency energy is used to shrink the cornea in order to change its shape. In the Epi-LASIK procedure, the corneal flap is created with a specialized surgical blade. Epi-LASIK is suitable for patients who have thin corneas. Dr. Boothe is experienced in performing all the above mentioned procedures.

Boothe Eye Care Discusses Lasik Flaps

November 30th, 2011

Flap complications related to LASIK surgery are uncommon, with only 2% of patients experiencing complications such as incomplete flap, irregular flap, torn flap, or excessively thin flap. The side effects and treatment of flap complications are based on the severity and type. Most flap complications can be fixed and do not result in any loss of vision. According to Dr.William Boothe of Boothe Eye Care, the majority of flap complications can be corrected using eye drops, medications, or additional LASIK surgery.

LASIK flap complications are becoming increasingly less common due to improved screening processes, the introduction of Wavefront technology, and new LASIK procedures. If you are interested in correcting your vision through LASIK, you should discuss potential complications of LASIK with Dr. Boothe. The success of LASIK surgery depends heavily on the skill of the surgeon, but it also depends on the patient. The patient must strictly adhere to instructions given by the doctor after the LASIK eye procedure. During the recovery period, following all of the guidelines provided by Dr. Boothe will help prevent flap complications.

During LASIK surgery at Boothe Eye Care, the corneal flap is created by cutting the epithelial layer of the cornea. The newly created flap is then folded back to give access to the corneal tissue deep inside. After correcting the refractive error, the corneal flap is returned to its original position and allowed to heal on its own. In order to allow the corneal flaps to heal effectively and safely, special eye care and protection is required during the recovery period.

Epithelial ingrowths are a kind of flap complication in which scarring occurs when the lining of the eye goes beneath the flap. This complication may cause distorted vision; however, if there is no visual distortion, you will not need to undergo corrective treatment. If visual distortion needs to be corrected, then Dr. Boothe will lift the flap and scrape away the epithelial cells in a separate procedure. Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis is an inflammation of the cornea that can be treated by using topical steroids or anti-inflammatory drugs. If the inflammation becomes severe, then surgery may be required to remove the inflamed cells to prevent serious vision damage.

Ectasia is a condition in which the corneal tissue becomes too thin, and thus weak. A weak and thin cornea will result in distorted vision and bulging corneal tissue. Ectasia is difficult to correct with additional LASIK surgery, but it can be corrected using contact lenses. Extreme cases of ectasia may require a corneal transplant. Occasionally, the flap may detach from its hinge, resulting in a free flap. Normally, a free flap can be replaced safely and effectively through a surgical procedure. If the free flap is lost or damage, the cornea will repair itself with new cells during the recovery period.

The formation of wrinkles in the corneal flap is known as striae, which occurs most often in association with the correction of myopia. Striae can occur in hyperopic correction and also due to stress or trauma. Severe striae can result in reduced vision and ghosting. Striae can be corrected by repositioning the flap. A torn or irregular flap may lead to the development of a hole, resulting in a condition known as buttonhole flap. Buttonhole flap can also be caused during surgery by a poorly fitted or worn microkeratome. If this happens, the surgeon must stop the surgery immediately to avoid further damage. The surgeon will allow the flap to heal before performing surgery again.

Dr. William Boothe Discusses Treatments For Keratoconus

November 18th, 2011

Keratoconus is a disorder in which the cornea becomes weak, thin, and abnormally shaped. This progressive disorder causes the eye to become cone-like in shape and can result in severe loss of vision. Symptoms of keratoconus usually appear during the late teenage years and gradually progress for about 10 to 20 years. In some cases, the condition will stabilize after a period of time. Keratoconus can affect each eye differently. The symptoms of keratoconus are nearsightedness, astigmatism, glare, blurred vision, frequent prescription changes, light sensitivity, and Munson’s sign (distortion of lower eyelid due to corneal protrusion).

The root cause of this disorder is unknown, but it is believed that genetics play a major role. According to recent research, enzymes in the eyes malfunction, and the resulting chemical imbalance causes the cornea to become thin. Chronic eye irritation, rubbing of the eyes, sun exposure, and incorrect contact lenses can increase the severity of this condition. In most cases of keratoconus, the only part of the eye that is affected is the cornea. The patient’s vision can be corrected to 20/20 using glasses during the initial stages of keratoconus. The only way to diagnose the condition is to take measurements of the cornea or to use corneal topography.

As the condition progresses, vision correction cannot be obtained using only eye glasses. Towards the base of the corneal protrusion, iron is deposited and the corneal tissue will become thin. Fine stress lines, known as Vogt’s striae, can develop gradually and in extreme cases the patient will experience a painful temporary condition known as acute hydrops. Acute hydrops occurs when water enters the thin area of the cornea, which can cause severe scarring. About one in 2,000 people develop keratoconus; however, most patients suffer from a mild to moderate form of keratoconus.

At the onset of the condition, Dr. Boothe recommends gas permeable contact lenses or eye glasses to correct mild cases of keratoconus. Specifically designed contact lenses are essential in severe cases, as the cornea will be more distorted. Each individual will require a unique contact lens design. Dr. Boothe will evaluate the patient’s condition to provide for the best vision results, corneal health, and comfort. The progression of keratoconus can be slowed by using eye drops with riboflavin content and a specific light to help strengthen the collagen present in the eyes.

Conductive keratoplasty guided by a topographic map of the cornea can aid in the correction of corneal irregularities. In this procedure, radio wave energy is applied with the help of tiny probes to reshape the surface of the eye. Customized treatment is made possible by the creation of a topographic map. Intacs, plastic rings placed inside the cornea, can be inserted to help the cornea maintain its shape and stabilize the condition. By maintaining the shape of the cornea, the patient may be able to wear contact lenses.

According to Dr. Boothe of Boothe Laser Center, corneal transplants and keratoplasty procedures are considered last resorts for keratoconus, after other treatment procedures have failed. More than 90% of corneal transplantation surgeries are successful in treating keratoconus. Corneal transplantation helps many patients obtain 20/40 vision or better using contact lenses or eye glasses.

Boothe Eye Care Discusses Differences Between AcrySof Restor IOL and other IOL

October 19th, 2011

What are the difference between AcrySof Restor IOL and other IOL technologies?

It is estimated that more than 45 million cataract surgery implants were performed globally to date. Most surgeons prefer to use lenses made by AcrySof, a family of intraocular lens (IOLs) products that proved to be very stable and provide long-term positive treatment results.

At Boothe Eye Care we perform successful cataract surgeries drawing on decades of experience and taking advantages of new technologies such as the AcrySof Restor IOL. After a successful cataract surgery is completed and the patient heals, he/she will see near, far, and between without eyeglasses or bifocals.

More than 80% of patients who had the AcrySof Restor IOL placed in both eyes by Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center enjoy clear vision at all distances. 94% of the patients with AcrySof Restor IOL implants no longer require eyeglasses or contact lenses. Nearly 94% of our patients indicated that they would have the lenses implanted again, if needed.

What makes AcrySof Restor IOL so unique?

Very often intraocular lenses are made from either hard plastic or silicone, which is not a convenient application. AcrySof Restor IOL uses a soft acryl. This material allows surgeons to better implant the lens for and provides a greater deal of comfort for patients. AcrySof Restor IOL technology utilizes small incisions, resulting in a quick recovery period and clearer vision.

Patients with cataracts or presbyopia may have both eyes operated on in the same procedure. This convenience offers patients the option of a shortened recovery time; additionally patients are no longer required to wear spectacles post operation.

Are you a suitable candidate for AcrySof Restor IOL?

Virtually every patient who suffers from cataracts may be a suitable candidate for AcrySof Restor IOL. After a thorough examination at Boothe Eye Care, we will be able to determine if AcrySof Restor IOL is appropriate for you. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes or chronic infections may have to undergo an additional treatment, after which we will be able to offer them to do the procedure.

Recovering from car accident complications at Boothe Eye Care

September 21st, 2011

About three years ago I got into an accident with my car. Some crazy driver hit me from the left side, he did not stop in red light! After this event I had suffered from trauma to the crystalline lens in my right eye. I could only see vague image of people and things around me. I visited a few ophthalmology centers. Different surgeons told me that I am a not good candidate for surgery and suggested I wait for the situation to stabilize. Sometime later I got used to having a bad eyesight.

I work with a lot of documents at my job. Since there was a heavy load on the left eye, my eyesight in that eye began to weaken. In the summer of 2010 I felt acute pain in the left eye. My friend recommended me to phone Boothe Eye Care and make an appointment. I immediately called and when I met with Dr. William Boothe he was the first surgeon who said that my of both eyes can be operated. I was so glad! His assistant attentively examed both of my eyes and then the doctor diagnosed a secondary glaucoma in the left eye. I wanted to save my left eye and I needed to do a special antiglaucomatous operation.

I was amazed by Dr. Boothe – how he could he remain calm after very hard surgery on my eye. After surgery my intraocular pressure was improved. He restored my vision and now I have an overall 50 % vision, up from about 10% before surgery.
I can differentiate items and see their colors more vividly.

Many thanks to Dr. Boothe and his staff. I need to do another surgery in the future on my right eye and plan to return to this center for a second procedure.

I enjoy seeing everything around me.

July 19th, 2011

I can not thank Dr. Boothe and his wonderful staff enough. For the first time in my life I can see bright and vivid colors without glasses. A few years ago I could only dream about perfect vision but now it is a reality. Thanks to Dr. Boothe, in spite of my strong astigmatism, I achieved 20/20 vision after my laser eye surgery.

At my first consultation Dr. Boothe listened to me for a long time and reviewed my exam results thoroughly to see if I will be a candidate for Intralasik. I was happy to see his level of professionalism and it help me to make up my mind and schedule a date to do a laser surgery at Dr. Boothe Center. The whole surgery from start to finish was very quick and I did not feel pain.

The results of this surgery changed my life. I now feel confident to go hiking and play soccer with my friends, not worrying whether something will accidentally hit my eyeglasses and break them.

Three conditions for a successful treatment. Thanks Dr. Boothe

July 11th, 2011

The first thing I would recommend to people looking to do a Lasik surgery is to try to find the best surgeon in the USA for their condition. My experience is that Dr. William Boothe is indeed an excellent surgeon and all people who surround him are highly qualified. Dr. Boothe is in my opinion a master of improving vision in different levels of complexity. He has performed a billion laser eye surgeries and gained great skills. He knows the best eye treatment methods and has helped me to recover from surgery and get my new my vision quicker that I thought.

The second point consists of my full confidence in Dr. Boothe. Why? Because Dr. Boothe thoroughly examined my eyes. His assistant took me from one exam room to the other and together we created a complete “picture” of my eye conditions. After these exams, when I came to meet Dr. William Boothe, he looked at my eyes himself and went over my tests. My poor vision was due to my strong astigmatism and due to the long time I used contact lens, my retina became very thin. Dr. Boothe prescribed me a combined treatment in order to prepare my eyes for laser surgery. I could really trust Dr. Boothe. I never saw such a level of professional work, combined with personal attitude and kindness. If you want to have the best treatment and feel good when you come to that center, I advise you to visit Boothe Eye Laser Center.

The third aspect is to fulfill all of Dr. Boothe instructions. After surgery I had strong tingling feeling in my eyes. The nurses used soothing drops and a couple of hours later I felt better. The next few days my vision was blurry at times. Dr. Boothe give me pills and eye drops and his assistant not only explained in detail how to used these medicines but wrote it all so that I do not forget. At home I precisely followed his instructions and my complications have passed very quickly. I had a follow-up consult with Dr. William Boothe and he said that my vision is 100% in both eyes. What a joy!

In conclusion, I want to thank Dr. William Boothe for his ability to give people happiness & see the world by their own eyes. All patients who came with me to Dr. Boothe for a follow-up appointment were excited with their new vision. I calculated and saw the it is better to improve your vision by laser eye surgery than keep buying new glasses, prescription sunglasses, and contact lenses. I wish to Dr. William Boothe to continue his successful career and reach new achievements.

Dr William Boothe Experience

May 26th, 2011

I am free from various inconveniences.

Last year a surgery was performed by Dr.William Boothe on both of my eyes, which had about -6 myopia. After the IntraLastik procedure I have vision which is much better than when I wore glasses and contact lenses. It is terrific! I am free from the various inconveniences I used to get mad about. For example, I allow myself to fall asleep when I watch TV. Before I feared to go to asleep without taking out my contact lenses.

I was a quite worried at my first consultation with Dr. William Boothe. During the consultation my anxiety went away and I received detailed answers to my questions. The center service and professional work by Dr. Boothe inspires trust and confidence in getting an outstanding result.

During the laser eye surgery Dr. William Boothe and his assistant were very careful. I felt discomfort but it was painless. After the surgery my eyes were a little watery, I could not look at the light. I wanted to sleep. The next day my vision was fine! I can see for near, intermediate and far distances. I want to notice that the first time that I wanted to see something nearly I felt a little discomfort because my eyesight focused only after a few seconds. A few weeks later I’m fully recovered and my vision is perfect.

Boothe Laser Center Helped My Vision

May 16th, 2011

I work at a lawyer’s office. Most of the time I communicate with people and I always have to look good. I have had a very short sighted prescription (-8.5 and -7.0) and astigmatism. The glasses had very thick lenses and did not look good. Then I began to use contact lenses. It was much more comfortable than lenses but can never replace natural vision.

I have chosen Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center due to its superior reputation. I read reviews of Dr. Boothe and used his website and other online resources to ensure I’m choosing well. I was amazed by a great number of surgeries his high level of experience with Intralasik, which is the procedure I wanted to have.

During my first private consultation with Dr. Boothe I asked him a lot of questions. Dr. Boothe gave me full answers. I felt reassured and my worries pretty much disappeared. At the end of the consultation I was sure that I want to have a laser eye surgery.

I am fully content with the result. My eyes have a 20/20 vision. I was able to quickly resume my work. I am very happy that I can see with my own eyes now.

Lasik is a Promising Procedure at Boothe Eyecare & Laser Center

April 28th, 2011

I found an ophthalmology center with a real professional surgeon.

My vision was not so great and bothered me more and more. I seriously started to think about laser eye surgery. I wanted to improve my vision because I was almost blind without glasses and contact lenses. My glasses were always misty in the winter while I was driving. Despite the fact that my contact lenses were of very high quality and quite flexible, I felt uncomfortable with them.

My friends told me about a special surgery for vision correction. Some told about the advantages of doing Lasik, others mentioned the disadvantages. For a full year I could not decide whether I should do laser surgery or not. I found it hard to believe to stories about surgeries which were painless, quick and with immediate, perfect results. I used the internet to study the newest technologies and most modern equipments. I looked for a laser center where the most professional surgeons work.

After a long search, I went to a few consultation, including with Dr. Boothe. At the consultation he said that I have 10% vision but after the laser eye surgery I’ll see up to 10 times better. Dr. Boothe was patient and allowed me to ask about everything. For example: “ would I feel pain after the analgesic wears off? Can I be blinded by this surgery? How long is the recovery period after surgery?” I guess that Dr. Boothe gave responses to the same questions to many patients each day. He did not mind answering them lengthily and it convinced me to choose to do the surgery with him.

Before my laser eye surgery I had doubts. I thought that it sounds painful: someone will touch your eyes with a laser, even that part takes 1-2 minutes. I was afraid that after the surgery I will have some complications. But my desire to get rid of the glasses was stronger!

At the early hours of the morning, I arrived at Boothe’s Center for the surgery. The assistant took me to the room. It was very cozy, quiet and calming. I remember that the air in that room was cool, super fresh and clean. I wore a special dresses and the assistant took me to the “heart” of the center – the operating room. I lay down and the nurse dripped anesthetic into my eyes. I lay there in silence and expected that there will be pain. Dr. Boothe smiled to me and I started using the laser. I felt some pressure inside the eye but it was not painful in any way. After a couple of minutes Dr. Boothe said that I can go to rest in the post-operative room. I thought to myself: how can I get up and walk now? But I easily got up and one nurse took my arm and helped me to get there. For a while, after the surgery, I was afraid to open my eyes. I even fell asleep. After a couple of hours I woke up and the first thing I did was go closer to the window. I was shocked!

I was on the first floor and I could see the people walking on the street on the other sidewalk, their clothes and faces, store signs, tree branches. Before my surgery things that surround me were large and blurry. I now see better than when I wore glasses and contact lenses. I found out by my own experience that laser eye surgery is really not painful, it is rapid, accurate and achieves what the doctor promised. The next morning I began to see even better. I went to Dr. Boothe for postoperative tests on my eyes. My vision is almost perfect. I could see all letters & numbers on the board.

I got used to my new vision so quickly that I forget my previous, poor vision. I’d just like to get on with my normal life!

Dr. Boothe of Boothe Laser Center made my dream a reality

April 4th, 2011

It is the best laser eye center out here. The Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center has professional staff who inspired confidence in me and used modern technology to do my treatment. All members of the staff were very attentive and polite.

For over 10 years I was dreaming of a normal healthy vision and could not even imagine that some day it will be possible. I used 5 years glasses and then contact lenses for four years and I can say both bring a lot of anguish. That is why I did my laser eye surgery at this Center. I did not know what to expect. But I’m happy that I had gone to the RIGHT Center. The laser eye surgery has passed successfully. In the first days, of course, I was uncomfortable: my eyes were bothering me, especially when I was next to strong light. At the same time, it seems that all has changed: I was able to see everything around me in clear, beautiful colors and details. My vision is as good as when I was a kid!

Separately I want to thank Dr. Boothe. During the surgery I consciously felt confident of his professional work and I was not mistaken. He gave me the opportunity to have a good vision. Dr. Boothe helped me made the dream to reality.
